One Year Later - January 16th, 2007 - Final entry-

Wow, how time flies, we can't believe one year has passed since Jillian came home, and how things have changed. Jill continues to accel at agility and speed, and is always laughing and smiling. She loves to play with her sister, and is a constant source of high energy entertainment for everyone. The day was celebrated with special cupcakes and a treasure hunt for the girls. A lot of our time this winter has been spent inside due to the lack snow, and extra mud, so creativity has been key.
Jen attends school every other day, and Jill loves to walk Jen to school, and stand in line with her. Jen goes every other day, which allows one on one time with Jill, Jill is so happy to see her sister return at the end of the day.

This is will be our final entry - wishing everyone a life time of health & happiness.

Summer Time

I don't think Jill needs any more caffiene, she naturally runs on high octane energy.

Pirate's

T

Jill's big sister, Jennifer, has just turned four. Jillian made an excellent second mate. Mom organized and officiated the festivities. Although everyone had swords at the beginning, everyone was disarmed by the end, after a few incidents, with no casualties. Jill displayed her abilities by climbing up the slide, all by her self with no assistance,( of coarse the first time was when no one was looking!), now she goes up & down all by herself.

Easter Bunny made a vist.

At 12:30 am, Jennifer wakes up and discovers chocolate eggs in the kitchen, then discovers a nest under her bed & Jill's. After examing the situation, Dad, decides that Jen must have scared that rabbit off when she got up, spilling chocolate eggs on the kitchen floor, and she better get back to sleep, so the rabbit will return, and maybe leave some more stuff. Soon things settled down, but then Jen had to look at her "nest", and proceeded to wake Jill up also. Jill, then becomes interested in what was going on under her bed. Needless to say, everyone finally got back to sleep around 1:30 am ish. Then everyone was back up nice'n early at 6am, to check everything out.

Two months latter...

Well, its been two months now, and things are changing for the better. Jennifer has warmed up to her sister, and plays more each day, well most days. The other day we received a letter from immigration telling us Jills picture was not the correct size for her permanent resident card, so we had to make a trip to the local immigration office to get a new picture taken. Everything was going great till, we sat Jill down infront of the camera. Apparently Jill changed her mind about getting her picture taken, and would not sit still for one second, after trying several times we had to abandoned the idea, and were told to try a different day. Fortunately this picture was taken before Jill got a black eye the other day. She was running with a toy teapot and fell on it, she just shrugged it off and kept going full throttle, as usual.

We want some Snow!

Well, after a little snow and warmer temperatures, Jen & I were able to get out and make a snowman last Wednesday, then Thursday came with temp's reaching 10c+ with heavy rain, and did a number on our frosty. This morning the temp had dropped drastically, with wind & snow, and was not pleasant, we still have no real accumulation.( so much for my trail pass), frosty is looking rather skinny now. With the weather being unseasonal, we have resorted to staying inside, challenging our creativity.

Routine, Routine, Routine.

Well, it been almost three weeks, short one day, since we have returned home, and we are just settling back into our usual routine, or should I say new family routine. The girls are both having their afternoon naps right now, which gives us a break & them a chance to re-charge. We find it certainly helps with their attitude & concentration during the day. Jennifer is still warming slowly towards Jill, as Jen was use to all the attention before, but now has to share the star light. Jen thought the other day that the dog (Jack), would make a better play mate, so when Kerri & Jill were upstairs attending to business, Jen thought Jack would make the ideal horse for her to ride. Jack didn't think much of it, and quickly & forcefully made it clear to Jen that the horse idea was definitely not a good thing. Jack yelped, Jen ended up on top of the couch, with five red teeth marks on her jaw and neck.(sounds worse that it was), of coarse Kerri & Jill flew downstairs to investigate the racket. Thankfully, old Jack (13yrs old), is a well tempered & trained dog (Lab.), and only "kissed" Jen, had it been any other dog, the story might have been much different. I am hoping this lesson (be it a tough one), has taught Jen some new respect for other dogs, and not just ours. It certainly has not made her afraid of Jack, which is good, because she was right back at him latter, giving him hugs & pullin his tail, feeding him.
